Another victory for Jesus
Literature Evangelist Team Leader
Victoria & Tasmanian Conference
I love the words in Psalm 66: 4-5, “All the earth shall worship You and sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to your name. Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.”
One of the things the devil hates so much is when God’s people come together to give glory and honour to their Creator. He does not like when we gather as one to worship Him, to sing praises to Him and to recall and share how God has used us in bringing hope to many that have no hope. He particularly hates it when Literature Evangelists meet together to uplift God’s name, to glorify Him, and to draw strength from each other as a unified team of frontline workers. And despite the devil’s efforts to stop our LE end of year retreat, the 1st and 2nd of December 2017 saw another victory for Jesus!
Jumbunna Lodge, nestled on the lower slopes of Mt Toolebewong, set in 40 beautiful acres with awesome views of the Yarra Valley was the place where Literature Evangelists from Tasmania and Victoria came together after another full on year of community service. And what a time it was! A time of worship. A time of refection and sharing how our God blessed us and those we visited in our ministry as LEs. It was a time to chill, relax, sing and enjoy each other’s fellowship in a beautiful tranquil environment. Certainly we received the blessing that we came for!
Literature Evangelist of the year for Victoria went to Geoff & Sylvia Wall, while Paul Borg was awarded LE of the Year for Tasmania. All of heaven rejoices for the good news that they shared with many people over the past year.
Thank you to Jared French, Interim SPD Publishing Director, and family for coming along and supporting of our program. And an even bigger thank you to our God for making it possible.
